Dozens of crabs, everywhere! So tricky to get photos at night, they can get away in a hurry and like to bury themselves in the sand. According to google, our new friends are ghost crabs.
Once we made our discovery on the beach that first night, this has become an almost nightly routine. Jack is a great sport at alternating between which one of us gets to go with him. Little brother is already in bed for the night so it's a fun way for us to spend some 1:1 time with Jack. Very rare these days and definitely needed. Besides the dozens of crabs speeding along the sand, the beach is pretty quiet.
Quiet, except for the roar of the jets overhead (see that blur of light?) and the occasional hum of daddy's plane flying overhead.
An unexpected find, this starfish was gigantic! To get an idea of how big, Jack could sit in the center and hang his legs over the sides.
We are hoping to see a sea turtle, no luck yet...
